Driver Collector

Contractual Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay rate:
£10.18 per hour

EMERGE Recycling is currently recruiting for a Driver Collector to join our busy team, initially on a three-month contract.

The Main Duties of the Driver-Collector will be to:

  • Drive a 3.5t Luton safely and efficiently at all times.
  • Ensure collections are done on time, accurately and that our customers are consistently very satisfied.
  • Assist with the day to day running of our busy operation, as needed.
  • Be self-motivating when out on collections and otherwise work as a team with other staff and any work placements/volunteers as necessary.
  • Ideally able to drive 7.5t vehicles, but not essential.
  • Note this is a physical manual handling job involving more collections than driving!

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Office and Core

Contractual Hours:
37.5 hours per week

£19,000 – £23,000 DOE

Our Office and Core Services Co-ordinator is the central point of contact for all staff within EMERGE 3Rs (including FareShare Greater Manchester) and EMERGE Recycling, co-ordinating and overseeing general office admin and ensuring processes across the office flow efficiently. You will work closely with the senior managers who lead our Core Services (e.g. Finance, HR, Volunteering, FareShare GM and Recycling) which requires a clear understanding of, and support for, our business and its aims.

We are looking for an experienced office co-ordinator and/or administrator who can turn their hand to whatever needs to be done: from providing first line IT support to onsite and staff working remotely, to co-ordinating senior manager meetings (including note-taking and following up on actions), to setting up inductions for new staff, and keeping the office environment and communal areas clean and safe. You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, and will make sure the team have the resources they need to work effectively. Click on the links below to download the job description.
