Waste Recycling Collector-Driver

Contractual Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Permanent contract

From £12.60 per hour, £24,570 p.a.

We are seeking a Waste Recycling Collector-Driver to be part of a dynamic team responsible for collecting waste and recycling from businesses across Greater Manchester and Liverpool.

This is a multi-pick up role working across a number of services. Your day could include collecting bagged waste from offices, swapping over 240 litre bins and driving a van collecting a range of materials including potentially wood, equipment or furniture.

As a frontline representative of EMERGE to our customers, good communication skills and a positive and professional approach to customer service is essential.  You must be capable of lifting up to 20kg, and be willing to undertake security vetting due to the confidential nature of the material we collect.

Good geographic knowledge of Greater Manchester, experience in waste management, and a forklift licence are desirable.   A clean driving licence is preferred, and all points must be declared.  One year’s driving experience required, ideally in a 3.5 tonne van, and you must be over 21 for insurance purposes.
